Hon. Patricia Aragon Sto. Tomas
Ms. Patricia Aragon Sto. Tomas is Minister of Labour and Employment of the Government of Philippines. She has a proven expertise and innovative leadership in the field of migration, development and public administration, built on more than two decades of solid work for the government of Philippines and the academia.
Ms. Sto. Tomas is a former Chairperson of the Civil Service Commission -the central personnel agency of the Philippine Government, where she headed the Career Executive Service Board. She also became a member of the Board of Foreign Service Examiners, Foreign Service Institute and the Development Academy of the Philippines.
Ms. Sto. Tomas finished her Bachelor of Arts at the Far Eastern University. She then took her Masters in Development Communication at the University of the Philippines-Los Baños and her Masters in Public Administration at Harvard University. She has received numerous honorary doctorates, awards and scholarships from various local and foreign institutions.
