Dr. Aïcha BELARBI Doctor Aïcha Belarbi is a former Secretary of State and former Moroccan Ambassador to the European Union. She has worked extensively on migration issues as Secretary of State in charge of Cooperation and as a member of the Ministerial Commission on Migration.  Dr. Belarbi is currently professor and researcher at the University Mohammed V in education, girls' education and gender socialisation.  She is a founding member of the Moroccan Organisation of Human Rights and member of the Scientific Committee of the Arab Institute of Human Rights. She is also a member of different Arab and Western Human Rights organisations such as " Initiative for Peace and Co-operation in the Middle East " " Human Rights Watch " " Lawyers Committee for Human Rights ", and the " International Commission of Jurists ". She has published several research books and led the " Collective Approaches " a set of 10 books about Moroccan women: statute and perspectives of change. Dr. Belarbi is a citizen of Morroco.  She is married and has three children.
